one characteristic of a linear equation is that if you move one unit on the x axis, you'll affect the y value by the same amount, no matter where you do it.

looking at the table, which equation(s) have the same change in the y value when x goes from 0 to 1 as they do when x goes from 1 to 2, or 2 to 3?
