in the past it just was to have a nice house no rent making a lot of money successful l kids and a pet also an car

now its to have the latest electronic device, the latest clothing brand or style a nice house with a car and kids that are successful

The American dream can mean almost ANYTHING. It's your perspective, that decides what it means.
For some it's to have warm food in the own house.
For some it's a job.
