three clocks. one with correct time; 2nd clock increase 2 min for each hr; other 3mins decrease for each hour. monday all show 8 pm. wednesday 2nd clock show 6.30 pm. wat is the actual time?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

can you tell me how many hours are there from monday 8pm to wednesday 6:30 pm?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42hrs 30 mins

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nopes..recheck your calculations..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

monday 8pm to tues 8pm => 24 hrs tues 8pm to wed 8am => 12 hrs wed 8am to 6.30 pm=>10hrs 30 mins totally => 36 hrs 30 min . is that right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

46 hrs 30 mins

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

yep/.46 30 seems good..

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

so, after 46hrs 30 mins, how much will the second clock be delayed ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

i assume we can say that since it inc 2 mins for 1 hr. , then it probably inc 1 min for 30 mins..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the clock is 2 hours 32 mins ahead. therefore the actual time is 3:58 PM. Right ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

nopes.again,,please recheck..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me know the anz plz ..

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

see it gets delayed by 2 mins every hour, 46.5 hours have gone by,.so it must have been delayed by ______ ? if you can fill in the blanks ?
