Dramatic Structure Example

Mental Health Issue Addressed: Self-Esteem/Bullying
Exposition:
Kana, a very pretty 15-year-old high school junior, is the only child of a low class family that values education above all else. Kana has a good relationship with both of her parents but has few friends at school. Seth enjoys learning and gets good grades. However, she is depressed and is considering dropping out of school because the parents are fighting over it and she can’t handle much more.
Rising Action:
Kana friend is late to school one morning and while rushing to get to his first period class, he notices kana, crying next to her locker. Before he has a chance to get too nervous and pretend that he doesn't see her, he approaches kana and asks her if there is something that he can do to help her. He asks her what is wrong; kana tells him that she is upset because she found out that her parents are getting a divorce. She feels like she is all alone and has no one to talk to because kana is scared to tell anyone because she thinks it is because of her.
Turning Point:
Kana and her friend begin to back away farther and farther from each other. He starts to worry about her and what she is doing at all the parties that she has been going to.
Falling Action: Kans friend sees that it is getting worse so he goes and talks to her parents but her parents say it is just a stage and she will get through it not worry. Then they walk home together one day and she is back to normal but she say she has to go home and so he goes and cheeks his mail when he gets home he finds her belongings and starts to worry. By the time her got there it was too late her parents said that they went to go check on her and they heard a shot and she is in the hospital.
Denouement:

In the end it turns out that she missed and that she was thankful to be alive to her parents and her parents are now getting along. She is friends again and back to her old self. She thanks god for that.
