HELP!! Parallelogram FGHI on the coordinate plane below represents the drawing of a horse trail through a local park.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In order to build a scale model of the trail, the drawing is enlarged on the coordinate plane. If two corners of the trail are at point A (3, 8) and point D (1, 2), what is another point that could represent a corner of the trail? (10, 8) (13, 8) (8, 8) (6, 8)

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Look at the original smaller parallelogram FGHI. If you start at point I and go to point F, you need to move 3 units up and 1 unit to the right. Now do the same on the two points of the new parallelogram. When you go from point D to point A, you go 6 units up and 2 to the right. The amount you need to move in the new larger parallelogram is eaxctly twice as on the smaller parallelogram. Now look at how wide the small parallelogram is: From point I to point H, it's a 5-unit distance. When you transfer that distance to the new parallelogram, it needs to be twice that, or 10 units.
