Solve. x2 + 3x + 1 = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2 + 3x + 1 = 0 is what I meant to put. I'm pretty sure the answer is -3+/- sqrt13 over 2, any input?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is (-3+/- sqrt5) / 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=\frac{ -3\pm \sqrt{3^2-4} }{ 2 }=\frac{ -3\pm \sqrt{5} }{ 2 }\]
