Find the x- and y-intercepts of the graph of the equation y=x^2 + 3 x -70. for the x intercept I got 67 and for the y intercept -70 when i enter in the answer i keep getting it wrong. It shows that the -70 is right, but the 67 is wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x intercept is when y=0 0=x^2+3x-70 solve by factoring

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how are you factoring? (x+?)(x-?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah. what numbers multiply to 70 but add to 3 -7 and 10 (x-7)(x+10)=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so then for your x you would get pts ( 7,-10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

theyre x intercepts so (7,0) and (-10,0)

thank you.
