Algebra 8 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given (3^2)(8^2) = 3x, solve for x

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Can you solve this one for x? 9 = 3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

64 x 9=3x now try solving for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@tkhunny you missed the 8^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

therfore you have 576=3x now just divide both sides by 3 to get x

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

No. I didn't miss anything. I was hoping that division by 3 would be transferrable, even with the 8^2. I will grant, however, that '9' was an unfortunate choice. I should have used 6 or 15.
