at a restaurant, your bill is $73.23 and you plan on leaving a tip of 18%. to the nearest dollar, how much of a tip will you leave?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

73.23 + .18 = 73.41 is that right? what do i do with that number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

73.23X 0.18 = 13.18 To the nearest dollar, so that would be $13.00 and so 73.23+13.00= $86.23

I think you have to multiply it. $73.23 x 0.18 = 13.18. You get a $13 tip when you round it to the nearest dollar.

thank you so much!
