what is the the percent to 3,665,000 increased to 5,131,000?

OpenStudy (nottim):

Your previous question is a lot this one. Did you learn from the previous one yet? How the guy got his answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we take the larger number and subtract by the smaller number (5,131,000-3,665,000)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then u take that answer (1,466,000) and make it a fraction (1466000/5131000) and reduce it to lowest terms and and then turn that into a decimal, and take it to the nearest 10th then make it a percent (move the decimal 2 spaces left) then u got ur answer :/

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Percent change is calculated like this: ( (new nunber - old number) / old number ) * 100 |dw:1357794611820:dw|
