OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there any shortcut to know whether a quadratic equation can be factorized or not?

hartnn (hartnn):

you can use discriminant. \[b^2-4ac\]

hartnn (hartnn):

if it is a perfect square, then you can use factorization method.

hartnn (hartnn):

because then, it will give you integers or rational roots.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this only way ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i understood

hartnn (hartnn):

you can always actually factorize and see :P

hartnn (hartnn):

no other easier way i think

Parth (parthkohli):

Any quadratic equation with existing roots can be factored, but for the "easy" factoring, you gotta have the discriminant a perfect square.
