when ripples formed on the surface of water move till they reach the boundary and then they reflect back. is there any loss of energy in this process? since every ripple is a wave and every wave has an energy associated with it

yes obviously ..energy from the vibration of molecules transfers to the boundary

yes, it does. that's explains why standing waves can't be achieved in lakes, or sea
