Is French hard to learn??
No, it's not too hard. (I speak French but English is my native tongue.) If you've not learnt another language before, it is certainly one of the easier ones. It's commonly taught in schools and there are a lot of resources to learn it outside school. If you've already learnt another European language, then it's going to be easy as Italian, Spanish, French etc all have similarities. If you've already learnt a language without a latin alphabet (eg: Russian, Japanese, Korean etc) then it will be a bit more difficult as you can use your previous language knowledge, but still achieveable. Like all subjects, learning a language does require focus and practice, but if you can already speak one, there's no point not extending yourself and trying a new challenge :)
As a French, I can tell you that French is a subtile language, even if this is my native language. This is very different from english. If you need help, ask me.
It really depends on the individual. For some it is hard, for others it is easy. Like any language to be learned, it would be ideal to apply it in a live and interactive circumstance as much as possible.
Im taking French 1 as my language for high school. Im taking it online and it has been kind of difficult, but I have learned a lot. Its a fun language.
It is best to take a language course in a regular classroom setting where there are numerous opportunities to interact with your peers. This will help you practice and hone on your language vocabulary. This applies for any language. Self-studying through any means is not the way to go.
