(e^x) = 5 defug?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You want to solve for x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it was 90 or something?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

e in math = 2.718281828459. So you would need to solve for x. Try putting random numbers in until one equals 5.

wow thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or you could take the natural log of both sides, it cancels with e ln(e^x)=ln(5) x=ln(5) Which is approximately 1.61

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x = 1.61. 2.718281828459^1.61 = 5.00
