I need help on how to set up my Windows 7 computer to Japanese hiragana keyboard. Also how would I type this in Japanese. My friends name is Yousef, he lives in ohio. And he is from Malaysia. I need to understand how to type this in Japanese and speak it. Any help?

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

I do not think the Japanese hiragana keyboard exists anymore. Nowadays, you will normally type in rōmaji (latin alphabet) and the software automatically converts it to hiragana, then, if needed, to kanji. For this, you will need to ask Windows to activate its Japanese IME keyboard. An easy way, before installing the keyboard is to use some webpages that do the trick for you. You can copy the result in you word processor. This one seems good: http://www.romajidesu.com/hiragana/gakkou%20ni%20ikimasu%20ka? If needed, I'll tell you how to install Windows7 Japanese keyboard. This was typed using the above link: がっこう に いきます か This same sentence was typed using Windows keyboard: 学校に 行きますか。
