C is the only one that would make sense in this case. If people were not interested in experimentation, they would not have found new scientific developments. International trade grew during the Middle Ages and helped advance science because knowledge was spread. There was more power to the Catholic Church but that actually hurt the Scientific Revolution because they tried to hide and disprove many things. Especially anything that contradicted their religious beliefs.
