Ms. Smith wants to buy an HDTV, which is on sale for 35% off the original price of $2299. The sales tax is 6.25% How would you use composition of functions to find the final price of the HDTV? What two functions would you use? *Show work please*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay what you would first do is 2299*.35 to get: $1494.35. Which this is the price after the sale! Now what you'll need to do is add the sales tax! which what you'll do is 1494.35/6.25 which would give you a total of 239.096. Then you add 1494.35+239.096 to get a grand total of 1733.446!! Round that to get 1733.45! :) There's your answer
