5x^2 - 2 + x I'm not entirely sure about the x part, but the rest is correct. You have to "distribute" the subtraction sign to all the numbers on the right of it to solve it.

8 - 3 = 5 Right - That's the x^2 like terms 0 - (-1) = 0 + 1 = 1 - You just missed the x like terms 5 - 7 = -2 Right - That's the constant terms. You were VERY close.
