HELP!!!!!! ( 1 point) when are spindle fibers present? A) Telophase and Metaphase B) Telophase, Metaphase and Anaphase C) Telophase and Anaphase D) Metaphase and Prophase E) ALL 4 STAGES OF MITOSIS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha lol cindy you're so awesome ;)

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Cindy is awesome if she can answer this question first.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is D, they are easily seen by prophase and are in use in metaphase.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but they are also used in anaphase so im like between b and e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's D.. it's not B and E b/c spindle fibers are not present in telophase

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but arent spindle fibers their in anaphase?? thts wat im confused about

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that's correct, but the answer says Anaphase AND telophase....including telophase in the answer makes it incorrect

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's a trick questions...so basically spindle fibers are present in metaphase, prophase, and anaphase, but they are NOT present in telophase

OpenStudy (anonymous):

question*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanx :) i have anothter question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wat is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and welcome :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if 2 fruit fly cells are observed. cell a has 16 chromosomes while cell b has 8 chromosomes. which of the following statements are true? A) cell a is in interphase and cell b is in prophase B) cell a is in metaphase and cell b in interphase C) cell a is in prophase and cell b is in prophase D) cell a is in anaphase and cell b is in prophase E) cell a is mutated and cell b is normal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ehh sorry i'm not sure about that :/ don't wanna give u the wrong answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha ok but thanx anyways :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if I had to guess I would say D though..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so like chromosmes and chromatids would practically be reffered to as the same thing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no..2 chromatids make up one chromosome..that's why i'm guessing don't trust my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanx :)
