imperialism refers to a person who is favorable to imperialism. Imperialism is the action in which a country controls another country or territory. There are many benefits to imperialism. Imperialism creates power and status amongst other countries. The proponents of expansion include political, economic, social and cultural reasons.
The political reasons allow the country to create more diplomatic ties with the surrounding countries. Accordingly, it creates more trading options with other neighboring countries.
Argument against Imperialism
With imperialism, a country would go out and claim new territories. This brought more responsibility to the country, as well as more territory that needed defending and developing. Imperialism brought the focus off of the mother country, making it more susceptible to conflicts at home and abroad.
