Help again please what are the mean and the mode of the following set of data: 4,12,1,5,7
Mean is the average, and mode is the number which occurs the most. So for mode, it looks like there is no mode. And for mean you do 4+12+1+5+7/5 Can you figure it out? :o)

:-( I did reply I asked if it was 23.4
The mean would be 5.8. To find the mean you must add all of the numbers together and divide by the number of numbers you added. So, for example, here you have 5 numbers that you added together, so after adding them up you get 29, and then you'll divide by 5 and get you mean, which is 5.8. I hope that makes sense. :o)
