(Quadratics) a win gust blows a cone from a branch on a redwood tree. The cones's height h, in meters above the ground can be modeled by h(t)=-4.9t2-t+75. where t is the time in seconds since the cone broke from the branch. To the nearest tenth of a second, how long does the cone fall before hitting the ground?

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

When the cone hits the ground, its height above the ground is zero. Set h(t) = 0 and solve for t -4.9t^2 -t + 75 = 0 Use the quadratic formula.

Ok so far i got \[1\pm \sqrt{1471}\div -9.8 \] is that right so far?
