OpenStudy (danmac0710):

Is it acceptable to write the modulus of a complex number in Euler form as a negative value? For example can I write 1 as -1e^i(pi) or MUST it be 1e^0i. I can see that both seem equivalent on an Argand plane.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The modulus is expected to be positive.

OpenStudy (danmac0710):

Thanks very much for your reply. WOuld you expect this to be penalised in an examination?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Potentially.
