How many segment bisectors can a segment have? PLEASE HELP :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks Butterfly16, but I've already looked that that resource and I don't think it's right, considering the definiton I have in my textbook. Would it be infinite? I don't know :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the definition in your textbook?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"A segment bisector is a line, segment, or ray that goes through the midpoint of a segment."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answer is infinite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you give me an explanation of how that works then, if it's infinite? Thanks. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the requirement for any segment bisector is that it shud pass thru the mid point of the segment. Effectiveky, you are asked to find out the number of lines that can be drawn passing thru a point. Which is infinite. got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry. i'm eating with my other hand as i type. pls excuse the typing erors

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's alright. :) Thanks so much Saikam! :D
