limx->0 ((a^2x)-1)/((a^x)-1) the answer is 2, but i have no idea how or why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[a ^{2x} - 1 = (a ^{x} - 1) * (a ^{x}+1)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the expression reduces to : \[a ^{x} +1 = 1 +1 = 2 as x tends \to 0\]
