Please help me solve this linear inequality 4- 9/4x > 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Start my multiplying both sides by 4/9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be the reciprocal so like 9/4* 9/4x > 6* 9/4 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes and no it would be like 4-(4/9)*(9/4)x>6(4/9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That leaves you with x<-(8/9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since you have a negative, you have to switch inequality signs.
