OpenStudy (falco276):

In 1838, Matthias Schleiden published his observation that plant tissues are composed of cells. A year later, Theodor Schwann published evidence that animal tissues were composed of cells. If Schwann did not publish his findings, then which question regarding cell theory would have remained unanswered?

OpenStudy (falco276):

Are plants and animals created from inorganic matter? Do plants and animals differ in how they obtain energy for life processes? Are plants and animals fundamentally different? Do plants and animals pass on their DNA during reproduction?

OpenStudy (falco276):

@zepdrix @ZeHanz @tyteen4a03

OpenStudy (andrefontex):

the difference between the cells, as animal cells don't have cell wall, or cloroplasts (and the cell endosiymbioses theory probably)

OpenStudy (andrefontex):

1 - no, but they do use small quantities of inorganic compounds or elements 2 - yes 3 - Fundamentally? well, orange and apple are fundamentally different, and they become from plants, i guess it's yes. 4 - yes

OpenStudy (falco276):

I only have to pick one answer. :P

OpenStudy (falco276):

@andrefontex

OpenStudy (andrefontex):

ah lol, i thought they were 2 questions ahahaah

OpenStudy (falco276):

Wait, so if 2 of them are correct, then I only have to decide which one it is?

OpenStudy (andrefontex):

It's B, as fundamently ,they mean are they painting or a dog. But, i mean, if he didn't publish the results, every question could remain answered, tbh.

OpenStudy (falco276):

true.

OpenStudy (andrefontex):

Plants can produce their own food to produce energy, in photosynthesis, and animals don't. However, i think they obtain "energy" from the same process, on Krebs Cycle.. omg , iam so confused

OpenStudy (falco276):

meh, Im confused on this, too.

OpenStudy (andrefontex):

I got it. Krebs cycle is used in mitochondria, for cellular respiration, to obtain ATPs. It exists in both animal and plant. because they both use aerobic respiration, capturing the O2. However, plants can obtain energy as ATP, as well, from light using the Calvin Cycle, producing as well a carbon compound and oxygen as a "waste". And that waste make possible us to live :D
