Freddy needs to paint the walls and ceiling (but not the floor) of a room that is 10 feet wide, 10 feet long, and 10 feet high. How many square feet must he paint (disregarding any windows or doors)?

ok. just find the area of the walls + roof

which is nothing but 4*(10*10) for the walls, assuming the room has only 4 walls
and 10*10 for the ceiling

Therefore he has to paint a total area of 5*10*10 = 500 sq. ft
