i just need answering this question. How do these help shape the deeper meaning of the poem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, how does imagery and personification and other literacy devices help make poetry deeper? If you think about it, when using things like personification, imagery, metaphors, similes, etc. it allows the poetry to become fiction in a way, and it allows for more descriptive and deeper meanings, especially when using metaphors and similes. This makes the sentences themselves more complex and deep in poetry, therefore giving it a deeper (almost hidden) meaning and really makes the readers think about what these metaphors and personifications actually mean. I hope this helps you a little :o)

not they only want to know how imagery and personification help shape the deeper meaning of the poem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Figurative language, and personification in poetry, can change the way you perceive the poetry and can change the meaning of the poem." Well, lets look at personification first. Personification usually happens in a poem where there is figurative language (similes, metaphors, alliteration, etc.). From the quote above, using personification and these figurative language in poetry and change the meaning of the poem, which makes it deeper and makes the reader feel and dig deeper to find the true meaning after its been changed by this figurative language.
