When asked how old she was, Suzie replied , " In two years I will be twice as old as I was five years ago." How old is Suzie ?

I am trying to get this but i am not sure if I am doing this right...this is what I have... x = suzie's age x + 2 = 2(x - 5)... Is this how to start ?

yeah thats it, then just multiply out the bracket on the right and solve for x :)

x + 2 = 2(x - 5) x + 2 = 2x - 10 2 + 10 = 2x - x 12 = x Did I do that right ? Is she 12 ?
