1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, ... What are the next 3 numbers in the sequence and how do I figure them out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

21, 34, 55 This is a very famous sequence in mathematics called the Fibonacci sequence and each value is determined by adding up the 2 previous values in the sequence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For your next number being \[a_{b}\] \[a_{b}=a_{b-1}+a_{b-2}\]

The sequence is usually shown as 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13,... The first 2 are "1" to get the sequence going. And then just add the 2 previous each time.

Good luck in all of your studies and thx for the recognition! @xbrittxcheerx92x
