Explain the 2 different answers you can get when solving an equation and the variable is dropped out.

If the resulting equation is true (for example, 1 = 1) then the original equation was true and had at least one solution. If the resulting equation is false (for example, 1 = 0) then the original equation was not true and had no solution.
