OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, are you ready? :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lets look at the first one: y=5x+2 Are we multiplying by 2 and subtracting 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im not sure im not math person at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright no problem! You'll get it. We look at y=5x+2. We're multiplying x by 5 and then adding 2, right? So which term on the table do you think would match with A?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by five, then add two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perfect! :o) Now, lets look at b. y=2x-5. Can you tell me what we're doing with x? Just like how I told you with the last problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it would be multiply by two, then subtract five

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're on a roll! Now, how about c. y=2x+5? :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by two, then add five

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great, now d. y=5x-2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you sooooooooooooooooooooo much now kind of understand it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good, I'm glad! Not to hard, huh? :o)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply by five, then subtract two
