Heather runs 4miles in 30 minutes. At the same rate, how many miles would she run in 66 minutes?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

66/4

OpenStudy (yanni):

16.5???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(4/30)*66=8.8

OpenStudy (blurbendy):

She is running 2 miles/hour at the current rate (4 miles in 30 minutes). At 2 mph, she would run 4 miles in 60 minutes. 6 more minutes is 1/10 of an hour, so if she ran another 1/10 of an hour, she would run 8.8 miles in 66 minutes (8 * 1/10 = 0.8. 0.8 plus the 8 miles she already ran equals 8.8 miles total).
