The Eqaution of cubic curve is y=x^3+x^2-x+1 find the gradient?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

gradient = derivative of y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok and to derive y?

hartnn (hartnn):

differentiation of x^n is n. x^{n-1} use this to differentiate 1st three terms. also, differentiation of constant =0. so, work out differentiation of y (dy/dx) and tell us what you get.
