I have an object with array of similar objects...
not sure how to explain it but there is a center object and that object have 4 references to similar objects, or null. The problem I am facing is that I have no idea of how to go through every single object, the algorithm needs to be kind of fast and I only want each object to be called once

Sounds like you have a tree. Recursion is usually a good choice to traverse a tree.
