Clycolysis is the first part of cellular respiration, and don't give a lot ATP (net is 2), energy-rich molecules is not affected either (only 2 NADH + H is made). You can say that glycolysis the introduction to when the real energy is going to be harvested. So which one would you think?

Well you create 2 ATP in the glycolyse, while in the ECT you make about 26.

Well I won't explain it in dumbperson terms becuase you are not ;) The cellular respriation of glucose have 3 (in some literature 4) phases: *Glycolysis *Krebs cycle (citrat acid cycle) *Electron Transport Chain (ETC) (sorry i did not write ETC in the first answer above) In glycolysis, glucose is converted into another molecule or in order words prepaired to the Krebs cycle (a few ATP and NADH is created) Krebs cycle uses the product from glycolysis to give electrons to the electron carriers (NAD) and will be carrieing them to the ETC. (a few ATP and a GDP is created) Lastly, all the NAD from the Krebs cycle will be entering the ETC and create ATP. :)

Well it is non of them. Glucose is made into two pyruvate molecules. The two pyruvate molecules then enters the Krebs cycle after some minor modifications.
