Okay so I understand the multiple choice of these questions but these ones are hard! Can someone help me?? Use the correct form of the verb ser or estar: Mi amiga __________ colombiana. Use the correct form of the verb ser or estar: Mi papá __________ en la escuela. Use the correct form of the verb ser or estar: Él __________ maestro. Use the correct form of tener: Tú __________ 15 años. Use the correct form of tener: La escuela __________ muchos estudiantes.
I anybody knows how do do this that would be great :)
I see that in order to answer the first three questions, we have to know the difference between SER and ESTAR. They both mean "to be," in Spanish. But they're used in totally different sitatuations. I'll explain. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SER is used when.... - we're talking about the identity of someone or something. - we're describing physical and personality traits. - we're telling where someone or something is from. - we're giving information about where an event is taking place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ESTAR is used when.... - we're talking about the location of someone, or something. - we're describing the weather. - we're talking about temporary states of being (such as "I am bored.") - we're talking about an action, that is happening right now, in the moment. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you understand the difference between when to use SER, and when to use ESTAR, you can answer the first three questions. Remember to conjugate them into the correct forms. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ As for the second part, you'll only need to conjugate TENER (to have) into the correct forms. Here are all the forms of TENER: (Yo) TENGO (Tú) TIENES (Él/Ella/Usted) TIENE (Nosotros) TENEMOS (Ellos/Ellas/Ustedes) TIENEN You can use this list. But once you memorize it, you'll find that it's pretty simple.
Alright :) thank you for your help!!
