u need to use the quadratic formula on this one: a = 4 b = - 5 c = -1 x=(-5±√(-5^2-4(4)(-1) ))/2(4) x=(-5±√(25+16))/8 x=(-5±√9)/8 x=(-5±3)/8 x=(-5+3)/8=(-2)/8=-1/4 x=(-5-3)/8=(-8)/8=-1 Your Answer = -1, -1/4
