:) a woman buys red flowering and blue flowering plants of the same species and plants them in her garden. the plant undergoes both self fertilization and cross fertalization. the woman collects seeds and plants them the following spring. what can the woman expect to observe in the flowers of the new generation of plants if the gene for flower color is codominant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

some of the flowers would be purple b/c of codominance in which neither color is expressed as the dominant, but they're rather a mix (blue + red=purple) and she should also expect some red and blue flowers too b/c they had self fertilized so there is still going to be red and blue flowers.
