Tell whether the lines for the pair of equations are parallel, perpendicular, or neither. y = –x + 1 2x – 3y = –3

OpenStudy (cgreenwade2000):

You want them both in slope intercept form to start: y=mx+b and from there, it's just looking at the slope. Same slopes are parallel. Negative reciprocal slopes are perpendicular. Everything else is neither.
