why is 1 not prime?

OpenStudy (amoodarya):

the prime number had 2 positive divisor for example 5 is prime because 5 divide by 1,5 but 1 is not prime because divide by only 1 6 is not prime because dive by 1,2,3,6

doesnt make sense the definite of prime is a number with itself as one as factors and 1 meets that definition.
