solve by factoring, completing the square, or quadratic formula: y=x^2+6x-10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Factoring doesn't work here (you can try) and completing the square is a pain in the retrice so try using the quadratic formula :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x – 2)2 = 12

@ObeyMfnBino , is that the answer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, ignore him that's not useful at all...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how to do the problem using quadratic formula .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im pretty sure thats part to the answer you are looking for but try looking at this website http://www.purplemath.com/modules/solvquad3.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This one's easier if you have a calculator: http://www.purplemath.com/modules/solvquad4.htm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do one one you know the answer ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but you should be able to solve for it yourself. How will you past the test otherwise?
