whats a good small introduction on the impact of the crusades?:) like as in who they were, what they were all about!

- Nobles’ holdings sold off to pay for their weapons and supplies
- Goal not achieved
- Bitterness and distrust between Muslims and Christians
- New ideas and goods were brought to western Europe
- better maps, ships, compass, siege techniques, weaponry
- more luxury goods like spices, silk (more wealth for traders
- Feudalism was broken down and monarchies strengthened
- Serfs were allowed to buy freedom

you should also look at the relations that the Roman popes made with Byzantine empire that would lead to BYzantine empires demise
