Answer the following question in a one-paragraph response: How did The Great Schism of 1378 to 1417 (also known as The Western Schism) impact the Roman Catholic Church?

OpenStudy (happykiddo):

im not gonna give you an entire paragraph. but the schism created a fight for power between up to 3 popes 2 of which were the chosen pope of the french cardinals and the other being the roman catholic choice. Then there were of course preachers arose like wycliffe .

I also got that question, and this was my response: The arrest of Pope Boniface VIII represented a rejection of papal dominance in Europe. The resulting schism had long-term repercussions for the kingdoms in Europe. People all over Europe believed that the Church was simply a puppet for the French king. Maybe You Can Help Me with mine?

Which of the following is not part of the teachings of Martin Luther? Human achievement is the root of salvation. All Christians are part of a holy priesthood. The Bible is the only source of knowledge from God. Salvation is earned not by good works but by faith. Help me now LOL

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It would be salvation is earned not by the good works but by faith. You had to have faith to believe in the salvation in the good works mostly.
