how to know the resting state for active high and active low?? 0 or 1?? how to differential the active high and active low??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically active high means the signal will be active if its high ie., "1". If signal is active when its low then it is active low ie., "0". when a signal is being described it will be specified as active high or active low. generally reset will be active high, which means if reset is asserted when it is high.
