the maximum value of the function y = asinx + d where a and d are positive is:

hartnn (hartnn):

hint: the max value of sin x is +1 now to get max, value of y here, u can just replace sin x by 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here are the options which is correct: a) a - d b) d c) a d) a +d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which ones correct??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoever answers first will get best response.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wich option is correct?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

we dont provide direct answers, instead we help u get to it .

OpenStudy (aravindg):

use the hint @hartnn told u :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i need the correct answer here in order for me to know if i did it right or wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it d) a + d?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

frgt what u did before .try a fresh attempt on this using hints provided

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just attempted. is a+d correct?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

@moeen.qazi123 hw u gt d ?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

can u show ur working ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well is it right? then ill show how i got it.

hartnn (hartnn):

that won't happen, you need to show your working first, because it may be wrong.

hartnn (hartnn):

or right.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

well i wont giv out final answer like that .

hartnn (hartnn):

can't you just replace sin x by 1 here : y = asinx + d ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also i have another question it is: which expression is equivelent to tanx-sinx/ sin^3x and the options are: a) secx/1+ cosx b) sinx/ 1 +sinx c) secx / 1 +sinx d) sinx/ 1 + cosx. my answer is d is that right?

hartnn (hartnn):

if you tell us how do u got it , we'll tell u whether its correct or not....

OpenStudy (aravindg):

unless u show ur working dont expect us to verify any option

OpenStudy (aravindg):

in recent days a large amount of stdnts are using openstudy for cheating in quizes/tests we dont appreciate that

OpenStudy (aravindg):

i am surprised even after all these requests by us ,you have not even made an attempt to show you working !

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

For the first question, d would have been the answer had a been equal to 0 Above hint will help you to cancel out 2 op the options. hmm
