4. Find the slope of line passing through the points (5, 9) and (5, -2)(Points : 1) -11 0 11 undefined 5. Find the slope of the line passing through (11, -2) and (2, -2).(Points : 1) 4/9 9 0 Undefined

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Formula for finding the slope of a line when you know two points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is \[m=\frac{(y_2-y_1)}{(x_2-x_1)}\] Order of the points doesn't matter, you just have to be consistent.

OpenStudy (hba):

Use the formula, \[\huge\ m=\frac{ y_2-y_1 }{ x_2-x_1 }\]

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

If you end up dividing by 0, the slope is undefined.
