1. Imagine you have been asked to read another article about gymnasts. It has the following title and subheads: Title: Gymnasts: For the Love of the Sport Subhead #1: The Naysayers Subhead #2: Lasting Benefits What can you infer from previewing the title and subheads of the article? (1 point) A. The article is written by a famous gymnast who had a long career in the sport. B. The article will attempt to discredit criticisms like those in “Gymnasts in Pain: Out of Balance.” C. The article will provide a balanced look at both sides of the controversy about gymnastics. D. The article, like “Gymnasts in Pain: Out of Balance,” will be critical of the sport.
alright, what do the title and the subheadings suggest?
I would say....C
By one of the subheadings being "Lasting Benefit" you can knock out C and D. I would think that the answer is A but I think you should consider the other subheading.
naysayers - people against gymnastics lasting benefits - people for gymnastics I suppose it could be B.....just because of " lasting benefits"...the way it is worded sounds as if it is trying to convince you that the lasting benefits outway the naysayers....I would go with either B or C.
I think you are right. Sorry I can't help you more but it sounds like it could be both, you just have to go with your gut feeling.
It's B
