Is anyone good in the topic real analysis ? college level

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, 2nd year

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Presumming your using the american definition of college... which is known as university it England.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well university in canada. i go to uft and i need help in some questions that i do not get in my head

OpenStudy (anonymous):

such as?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like would you know this question? The sets below are described by some logical properties; find them as intervals of the real line: a) A = {x E R : (for all b > 5 : x < b)}; b) A = {x E R : (for all (epsilon) > 0 : |x 10| < (epsilon)}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe the first one implies A is the entire real line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how so like dont i need to construct a proof

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well firstly what is b? is it any element of the reals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b is any arbitrary number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x can be any number less than b and b is not bounded upwardly thus if loosely look at as b=inf then x is anything less than b. i.e. any element of the reals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so are finding intervals of b?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am aiming to restrict the values that x can take by looking at the constraints on it. However the constraint that x must be less than b does not mean anything if b can be infinitely large
